From what i heard the 1996-1998 GT's have the low grade 4.6L and they got maybe 15-20 more horsepower then us so stock they would still pry have us but modded i think we could pass them depending on how fast the race got going. And the '04 V6 vs '05 v6 we could beat them, i believe we have about 20-25 more hp then the 3.9L engines and not sure how much more torque but we could take the 04 v6.

an NPI GT is a drivers race, a split port V-6 is anywhere from low 15s to high 15s, the s197s are high 14s to mid 15 second cars, all of these depend on wheather its a vert or coupe and an auto/manual, and a PI GT has about 60 ft.lbs on the these and run low 14 to mid 14s

Poor mustangman desperatly trying to defent the 04- mustangs. Especially from a dig, there is NO way an older v6 could take out an 05+. Stick-auto, auto-stick, it doesnt matter! GT's are another story...

dad has an 01 gt auto, i can beat him from a light, at the track from a 20 roll, 40 roll, etc.
against a 5 speed.. thats different. a good 01-04 gt 5 speed driver can be around 14 flat all day long. granted ive smoked numorous 01-04 gt 5 speeds at the track, but thats because they cant hook up. Some of them are good sports and come up to me afterwards askin me how i do it, etc. practice practice practice.
magazine racing isnt real, nor is on the street. At the track is where it counts and how you can put the power down. the stock 05's are capable of putting the power to the ground much better than stock 01-04's

any 05+ 6ers have stories about taking on some older GTs? i wanna hear them....what mods u both had (if u know what the other guy had)
