Get a diesel car, convert to biodiesel, and get a grant from some greenpeach bastards for your work.

Then take that grant money and buy a mustang.
Not where I thought you were going after that first line, but you have a point.

Whatever's best for you man! I'd love to have an extra $200.00 in my pocket. I've been thinking from time to time about getting a different car.. but with all this negative equity, it's just not worth trading. I owe about $19K and the car's worth $16K, so if I ever trade Epona for something else.. I'm out $3K immediately.. [:@]

How much will Ford give you for your stang?

Well I went to the car lot this morning and test drove the fusion It was raining hard (because of the Hurricane) so I didn't get to punch it, but from what I could tell it has pretty good power so I went back to the lot and sat down at the guys desk which was right in front of a big window facing my mustang. So he started getting the paperwork ready and for some reason I just couldn't stop staring at the stang with its 1 month old gt bumper on and kept telling myself how good it look now I changed bumpers. Well he told me that he needed my 500 dollars that I was putting down so I had to go to my car to get my bank envelope. Well I got in stang and just sat inside it for a minute and realized I was screwing up big time I got out of the car went inside and told the salesman I changed my mind I was going to keep the stang. I think if I wasn't standing there he would of cried from the way he was looking at me he did everything even basically begged for me to buy telling me how the fusion was so much better and kept on talking about what would do when I had a family then I just got pissed cause he was downing my mustang and just told him that the fusion wasn't that great of a car and screw the whole family thing I'm only 22 and turned away and walked out. Hell I'm glad it was raining hard he probably would of followed me out the door if it wasn't

Way to go man!! I did the opposite. I went in 2005 and bought a new Ford 500. Nice but I felt like an old man driving a generic sedan that looks like a Camry... YUCK!!! Even back when I bought it I drove it off the lot and noticed the new 2005 Mustangs. I never felt right for months. As I drove it for almost a year the feeling got worse every time I saw a Stang on the road and happy looks on the owners faces!!!
Finally I couldnt take it anymore. I took the 500 back to Ford and got the car I REALLY wanted. Back in February, an 0'6 Stang. Notice my pic. I LOVE THE DAMN THING AND I'M KEEPING IT FOREVER. I sit in it naked at midnight sometimes sipping a drink admiring it.
Yes I lost about $4,000. In life you win some and lose some.
Life is short and you should enjoy what really makes you happy!! Fusion, eehh an ok car but no way as fun or cool as a Stang, with all the cool Mustang clubs and this site. Glad you stayed man. You did good!! Screw them sales losers.

That took alot of ***** to deal with that pressure man! I'm so proud of you! You would always have sellers remorse and feel like a piece of **** driving that fusion. You did good! Great story, glad you kept the MUSTANG. I looked at the FUSION as a replacement for my ESCAPE, still considering it for the future. I read a zillion write-ups on the FUSION and there isn't a lot of criticism of the car at this point. If you get hung up on the money, do what us old school guys did years ago when we needed money, find a way to earn what you need for the extra 200 or so a month. There has to be some part time gig you can get to help out. It'll be worth it when you get behind the wheel of your MUSTANG.
