Fake Duals?
Some of you might remember a few weeks back I was rear ended... Well it was cheaper for me to order a GT takeoff rear bumper instead of a v6 one from ford. So I did... Now im exploring the option of duals.
I already have the gt takeoff mufflers and the right one is installed. I've looked at getting true duals and its rather expensive. So i've had to idea of hanging the other muffler without it actually being used. So that it does not look odd when I put the gt takeoff bumper on.

I'm not sure about that one man being that you already have the muffler it shouldn't cost you that much to run the duals plus you would get better gas mileage and a little bit more torque I would just save my money and do it the right way just my opinion though
perhaps you could wire a speaker in one muffler and a microphone in the other
i think that 999/1000 other drivers will ever notice that there was a cut in the bumper with no tail pipe sticking out...
but then again this comes from a guy who once duck taped a mini maglight behind a broken foglight to pass inspection

haha funny stuff
Anyway, I have heard of people doing a fake dual setup but both mufflers were flowing the exhaust. This was done by using the factory exhaust with a GT takeoff like you have. Then a pipe was added to connect the functional muffler to the driver side one. An opening was cut in back of the one muffler and pipe was welded to it and run across the car to the other muffler. If I remember right it sounded good and performance was better. A true dual is the best way to go, or you can just add another y-pipe after the stock one and run duals that way too but its not as good as using the H-pipe.
