Default DYNO ON MY 2005 V6 MUSTANG

Well I took my 2005, automatic, V6 for a DYNO tune and Horsepower check. Based on the mods made and what I have been reading on the website I expected somewhere between 190 to 200 Horsepower. The shop gave me a 93 OCT tune and ran my V6 on the DYNO and measured my Horsepower at 198 at the rear wheels when the RPMs were at 5100. Here is a list of my mods for reference. I have been reading about other mods to increase HP but it looks like the only other mod that will supply a nice increase is a supercharger, which is expensive or NOS which I don’t want to do. If there are any other mod that anybody knows of please list them.

K & N CAI with high flow air filter
True Dual Exhaust withe GT Take Off Mufflers and Xpipe
SCT tune for 93 OCT.

Thanks
Joe

Very nice, especially for an automatic!

You've got the big-bang bolt on's covered... you might want to think about putting in a new set of gears, like a 3.73 and a limited slip differential... while the gears won't add more HP it will give you more umph off the line!

Thanks,

Hey I saw the write up on your car in the Magazine, nice ride. I thought about gears but I drive this car to work every day and I don’t want my MPG to go any lower, right now I am getting 15 MPG for a mix of highway and around town.

I was netting mid 24 mpg with 4.10s, didn't hurt me much.

Hi Rygen,

I like all the information you posted on your website, and by the way nice ride. Man you must have spent a lot of money trying to find the exhaust you wanted. I listen to all you clips. Were you getting 24 MPH on the HW or around town? To me 15 MPG seems pretty low.

Gosh... 15 is horrible! Even just around town I get like 18 to 19 MPG... on the highway I get around 24.. and I have 4.10s! And I'm spinning a supercharger... LOL! Do you have a clogged air filter??? Under-inflated tires???

Most of my driving is a mix of HW and around town, wow I cant believe that you are getting 18 / 19 with a SC and gears. My air filter is new I just installed it two weeks ago. I am puzzled, I think a GT probably get 14 around town. I will have to see what I get on the HW.

Wut is the stock number for an automatic so i can see wut the gain is on his car, and wut i can expect for my manual. WOW i was gonna do those exact same mods minus the tune, not too into that

I'm getting 27-28 mpg combined. I have a manual though. I'm sure the mods I made have helped. 15 seems really low for an automatic.

Mods:
K&N CAI
Aero-Turbine exhaust
