Default Knocking?

I have a stick and at 3k rpm's i hear a knocking like sound, but i can't tell if it is coming from my engine or if it is just noise from my tranny. I cant really tell cause my mrt is so loud i can barely hear it anyway. Does anyone with a stick hear a knocking kid of noise, but more consistant than knocking would be?

i dont know about a "knocking" sound, but my tranny is quite noisy. not bad noisy, you can just tell its unrefined.
actually come to think of it, at low rpm, mine does sound a bit clunky, but only when im kind of lugging the engine.
its up to you man. if your nervous, take it in.
mine makes a ticking sound when idling, but its starting to get quieter and less often as i put miles on the car...im only at 3800...lol.
