For the money you would spend, it would be worth it to trade in your 06 on an 07, or even a used 05-06, just my 2 cents

There will always be a car faster than yours. If you want a GT trade yours and go for the 0% financing.

An engine swap, while doable, is a lot of work and expense. Try contacting Morana about their pending 4.0L SOHC stroker kit, short blocks or long blocks. It would give you 4.5L, HP cams, head work, etc. and be a bolt in, part swap installation for around the price of a SC.

not for nothing, but I know of S/C v6's with more then 320 at the wheels. GT's with your basic bolt on's such as cai/tune, UDP, exhaust and even LT's are only making around 315 at the wheels. Also, don't forget the v6 is lighter then the GT. A S/C v6 is def a fast car and not one to mess with, heh.

get the powerhouse intercooled turbo kit at say...9-10ish psi and do all suspension mods, free up your exhaust (if the ph turbo kit doesnt come with a custom one which i think it does) and such. You will be able to outrun stock and bolt on gt's.
