I love this post, Too funny. I built a sleeper for my wife one year. She had a 88LX 4cy. I yanked the 4cyl and dropped a 5.0 in. Left everything eles the same. She had fun smokin ricers until she blew out the syncro. LOL

i have two general rules of thumb for you. Never race someone that says they have a surprise, it is never a good one. Second, never race a car that is in good condition and is painted with primer. That basically means they are doing their own paint job and know what they are doing, and they bought a car just to repaint it and such. That means they A. have alot of money and are building a total monster B. realized they didnt know how to paint their own car and had to stop. Having him tell you he has a surprise, and it being just primed, basically you should have been expecting a turbo or a huge shot of nitrous.
Quoted for truth...old "sports" cars and primered cars I stay away from. Probably 75% of the time you see a 15 yr or older car on the road, it's modded to hell, because the owner has no payments on it and low insurance. Primered cars, alot of times they're going for the sleeper look.

I know picking on Hondas is fun and all, but a car i'd never run is a CRX. Pretty much noone but a car modder still drives one today as it's so small and old, and it doesn't take much money to make those little buggers faster then us, faster then a GT, faster then alot of cars.

And Civics (same thing?) Saw a run of the mill looking Honda Civic last night, nothing fancy looking about it, ran a 13 flat in 1/4 mile.

I just finally decided to accept the fact that 4-cylinders and rice burners are becoming very fast with new technology. 4-cylinders exceeding 300HP sounds obserd (sorry for spelling) but it's so true. I hate to say it but it's true. People often put the H-22 motor in their CRX's I believe which is lighter and more powerful. V-Tech's don't put out alot of torque but tunes and turbo help ALOT! I hate to see something like this happen to muscle, but after all we have V6's. We have to put in a lot of work to make out cars kick *** but that's the whole fun of it.
