Default 4.0 to the 4.6

With all this talk of the 3.5 liter "MAYBE" coming out and people saying that they might will switch how hard would it be to switch the 4.0 with a 4.6 vavle engine

cheaper to just trade in for a gt because u have 2 change the rear end out plus a laundry list of other things . etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc

If you're going to do an engine swap, you might as well do what Rygen suggested and get a crate engine from Ford. You could get rid of all the electronics, and have a pretty bad-a$$ engine.

Either way to upgrade motors you willl need

8.8" rear end with axles and center housing from the gt, or you might as well get a 9" rear end because the 8.8 are not that great in the first place.

upgraded driveshaft depending on how much power your putting out

change in transmission, and clutch.

You might need stiffer springs for the front to compensate for the weight.

the wiring harness and computer is different for the engine.
