yea beau im sure you would show class when losing a 40,000+ dollar investment for no reason.

but anywho, i saw a really funny one where a 5.0 just kept raping a super modded orange crx or some hatchback honda. It was really funny, the guy in the honda was like yelling saying there is no way the 5.0 was only an 11 second car and then the honda broke the front axle and lost...i think the guy actually cried if im not mistaken...did any of you see that one?

For no reason? These guys know what they are signing up for so why bitch? Besides, most of them are professional speed shops and are doing it for bragging rights and advertising. All they end up doing is looking like a bunch of cry babies when they lose and showing no class when they win. I wouldn't risk my car in race with anyone! But I do like watching the show.

yea, but you have to think about how hard it would hit you if you went into it thinking you were gonna win and ended up losing the first race...that's like signing up for sky diving and getting up there and realizing you are afraid of heights.

I have not seen that episode yet. The only people I've seen race class on pinks are the people with the Camaro. The negotiator is the father and uncle and his 17yr old son races it. They only been on twice I believe and won both times! The 2nd time they beat a white 86 monte or something around that year and actually gave the car back cause the guy and his family were whining about it soo much. The father said they would go again and he would bring his firebird out but I don't think they set up another race ever.

Oh and why don't they use the tree? How come theydon't just set cars up that are equal enough to go heads up? Thats the only thing I don't like about the show. "Give me 4 lengths! and disconnect your nitrous". Just go heads up or don't race.

Regardless I still watch it and still love the show though.

Yes, I hate the fact that they give eachother lengths...then its not really a race now is it?
And with that guy waving his arms, someone always starts early..they should use the tree...
GOD I WISH I SAW THE CRX EPISODE

"Yo man, you got twice as many cylindas, after EVERY race!"

Yeah I kind of feel the same way about the show. They are way focused on car lengths. They wouldn't even show the ET's on the episode I watched, which pissed me off cause there was badass Mustang and I wanted to know what it could run.

Also, I couldn't imagine going on that show with the risk/reward situation as it is. It's your pride an joy signature car that your shop has spent countless hours on, vs. some other guy's car which is fast as *****, but it means a whole lot less since you contributed nothing to it. I don't know...those guys are probably just naturally competeitive as hell, which I am not.

Mehh it's for the most part all suspense and good TV for ratings. Most of those cars that are brought on the show are quickly thrown together cars that have seen little track time. That's why they never know how they are going to run or start to break after a few runs. Some are peronally owned cars though, don't get me wrong, and those are the toughest ones to see lose.
