Can someone explain about the GT take off mufflers
The muffler on my V6 has two welded brackets, one in front and one in back in addition to the welded "hooks" and clamp. THe GT Take off does not have the welded brackets, just the "hooks" and clamp. Are the additional brackets not needed when adding the GT muffler? I could likely cut the brackets at the welds and have a shop weld them on the GT take off. Just Wondering

Thanks Pete, I thought that might be the case. Not sure if I will get to doing it this fall before I put "Geraldine" away for the winter. It is already getting damn cold here in Maine. I'll likely be driving my 04 Bonneville for the next 4 months as soon as the snow starts.

The GT muffler should be a 45mn or less swap out so its pretty simple, i think you should put it on before you put the car away. Then you can enjoy the new muffler for a bit until it snows.
