What parts or kits are you planning on buying? Takeoffs are most likely going need hardware since most aftermarket kits utilize the orignal hangers and stuff.

Oh and welcome! Ant

Find these threads:

How to: V6 dual GT mufflers w/pics

or

How to: V6 to GT X-pipe conv. w/ all Ford parts

This should help.

I just got this done so i can basically tell you what youll need.

#1 the GT take off bumper in whatever color it is.
#2 the GT take off mufflers.
#3 2 more exhaust hangers for the left side muffler, if you can find the number call Dick Witham in La Porte, Iowa talk to scott or dave. Tell them your a forum member and they can get you the hangers for $39 a piece instead of $60 a piece at the other dealerships.
#4 Depending on what you plan to do, either buy an x-pipe and GT mid pipe (also from witham for $84) or just take it to the muffler shop like i did. I took mine to boubin earlier and it cost $175 for pipes and labor.

I believe thats all you need and then whoever is doing the work for you then will know what tools then need.

Of course, the GT take off bumper is a requirement. Wondering if the GT muffler takeoffs are a better approach as I've been thinking about replacing '07 V6 stock exhaust with Magnaflow 4.0L Dual Exit Cat-back (16605) kit. Does anyone think this is a bad idea? Thanks.

Magnaflows of course would be better then the GT Take Off's but as a downfall more expensive. The GT Mufflers are the best bang for the buck. At first i only had the right side muffler switched out for the gt muffler and i was thrilled about just the single, its been 2 days witht he dual gt's and i couldnt be happier. Of course if i had more money to work with i would pry get a magnaflow or jba set but for the price the gt's are nice.

I just bought a set of GT take-off exhaust, too, I am only going to install one right now.. do you guys think I will need any additional hardware or should I be OK with the current hardware that my muffler is on with now?

I haven't heard too many people even mention the JBA setup Headers trueduals with the crossover and thedual mufflerfs are they not any good or is it just the price versus gain that's keeping them off the new Stangs?

You will not need anything else, it is strictly a bolt on operation.
Just got doing it myself!
