I think its because (scrming said this) that the leather seats are actually only leather on the middle part of the seat in the front only. Basically theyre bs leather seats. may buy takeoff leathers b4 they discontinue our model to keep as spares. I'll deal with for now

Now that I took a look at my seats, you're right on the money...the "cracks" are in the pleather portion of the seat...I do believe the only part of the "leather" seats that's leather is the actual sitting surface on the front seats...yay

Actually MOST cars that are advertised as having leather seats are in fact only leather in the center section. If you will notice, they advertise "leather seating SURFACE" My dad was a professional upholsterer for over 30 years. He keyed me in to that dirty little secret years ogo. I recently went to some of the local Ford dealerships with a friend of mine who is looking for a new Mustang. Each lot we went to we took a look at the used Mustangs as well, and we noticed right away that the ones with the leather interiors looked pretty crappy. Im not talking about cars with lots of miles either. 25 to 30,000 tops. I think Ford really dropped the ball on the quality of the materials they use don these seats. I plan on sticking with my cloth seats.

Those aren't "cracks" at all but rather just creases and this is totally normal. Trust me they will get much worse than than and then they will eventually split it not treated often.

The Lexol you have is the best, use it after using Lexol cleaner and you'll be good to go.

Nonstop,

Mine has somewhat the same, but not quite as severe....I have used Black Magic Leather Conditioner since she was new. Works pretty well....This is the most current pic I have that shows any of the drivers seat....
