Is there any way for me to actually see if i have side air bags or not? and whats the difference between side airbag leather seat covers and non side airbage leather?

If you've got 'em there will be a tag on the side of the seat that says "Aig Bag". I'm sure the difference in the seat covers is the air bag seats have a seam that will break away when air bag is deployed. I have the air bags and there doesn't seem to be anything obvious besides the tag.

Has anyone had them added after they bought the car? If so, how much did it cost?

I don't have them in my MUSTANG, I have them in my ESCAPE. Adding them would be VERY expensive, I suspect. There was a time when people were stealing the airbags out of the steering wheels of cars, due to their expense.

the tag will be there even if you have cloth seats?

I have cloth seats and the tag is there... You can actually feel them if you push in on the side of the seat.

If you have them the tag will be there no matter what type of interior you have.

already tried that on the highway when my 99 Grand Prix got broad sided by an 18 wheeler. spun the car 180 degrees in a split second and knocked the 18 wheeler 1 lane over. actually it hitthe car one footin front of the windshield. I walked away with a concussion and bruises, the car was totalled, but I drove it to the side of the highway.
