Don't you hate it when they don't answer the question? I have been asking the same question for a long time. No one seems to answer or maybe even knows. LOL.

I think part of the problem is that many of us have friends in the right place at the right time. Occasionally things work out and we end up with a better deal than retail. I've talked to some guys in person who were able to do the install themselves or had a buddy in racing to do the tune. Some just got a deal so good it isn't repeatable.

You need to shop around, and talk to dealers and Mustang engineers about the best application for you. www.procharger.com is a good place to start. If you do the walk in off the street you will probably pay $4k-$5k for the kit, install, and tune. I would budget for $5k, and have a professional tune with a 7-11psi. Don't cheap out and try to have the guy down the street do it. Mine was a problem due to the Magnaflow axle back not being correctly installed - it through the tunning off. Mine is also a late '06 with '07 applications. Thanks to ProCharger and ATI the problem was resolved.

Some other guys will advise you about other mod's you should consider - rear end, and more. Listen to them. It also makes a difference what you plan to do. I'm just an old guy having fun with my Mustang. I happened to have the right friends, and the money at the moment to do what I wanted.

Estimated install time for the sc is 8-12 hours. Now at 85 bucks an hour (the average i have seen) 680-1020 for labor. Now add dyno time lets say 200-300. The sc plus install costs between 4.5k-5.3k or so. Just a guess.

install time has varied, heres what I have seen in other posts

Xcharger, average time 5-6 hours
Vortech & procharger, average times 10 - 12 hours

I think your total cost will depend on who installs, the s'c's will cost 3300 to 4500 and typically 75 to 100 an hour for install,

I had some benefits going my way for my s/c and negotiated my deal, you could do the same and could get a better price dependin on the shop, as a minimum you should look to spend at least 4500 to buy and have professionally installed if going with all available options
