Default Cleaning a CAI

This might seem like a dumb question but I am new to this whole upgrading thing. I have an S & B CAI and from what I understand you can clean the filter and its reusable. Can anyone tell me how I am supposed to do that? Any help is appreciated. thanks

I bought a K&N filter cleaning kit everything is explained in there.....
