Default Tuner

The throttle lag and granny shifting is killing me and my project car keeps getting farther and farther away from being finnished, and i want some more performance.I dont have much $$ to spare, being a part time employee at a local grocery store and only 17. I want to get at least a tuner, preferably an x-cal2. If i dont get an intake to go with it, will it make that much of a difference? and should i go with Brenspeed or Alternative Auto, i'v heard good things about both. Thanks guys! =)

Default RE: Tuner

Im 17 too...A tune on your car will make you very happy. It makes the kind of difference that you feel and you know its not in your head. You don't need to get an intake, but it would be better if you did. Get the tuner first, it will be about $400...You can always go back and get another tune after you buy an intake. If u have an auto..then id go Alternative Auto from what people have said about them. I have brenspeeds tune on my 5-speed and it really woke the car up, but I know there is more power there and it needs to be dynoed to find it. You can't go wrong with brenspeed, Alternative Auto, and B A M A and VMP....Id like to try all the tunes butI just can't do that Good luck!
