I've got a single Flowmaster AT, and I'm very, very happy with the noise it makes.

Duals would obviously be louder, but the Flowmaster single makes a very nice, growly sound for a single pipe.

MRT's are also supposed to be very loud, but more of a high-pitched race-car sound, as opposed to the Flowmaster rumble and growl kind of noise. Depends on what you like, and what you think will suit your Mustang.

I've got Pypes true dual x-pipe cat back exhaust system with Flowmasters or if you like it a bit louder and can stand a little bit of drone in the cab, Street Pro's are great too!X breaths better than H does and is a tiny bit louder but that'sbecause it flows better and enhances cylinder evacuation better than H does too.
Sounds best of all that I've heard and I get tons of complements all the time.

Here's a link to my dual flowmaster american thunders with custom h-pipe.

Forgot to say that if you go single I would suggest MRT and if
you go dual go with flowmaster american thunders made for the
S197 GT.

+1
for Flowmaster Single less noise than MRT, smaller tip than MAC.

Although I have an MRT for sale...
