push button start

No! Sounds stupid unless your car has the RF key option which requires the key to be in your possession.

Otherwise, just buy the button-looking cover for the power outlet and give the appearance of an "Engine Start" button or whatever. To actually screw with all the wiring to get this hooked up seems completely unnecessary and pointless.
I admit that it looks cool, but in terms of functionality, it's no good since you need to engage the key to drive the car anyway.

its just for looks. but your lock cylinder will last longer, since you arent giving it all that abuse.

why would someone pay $100 for less than $30 in parts? they use cheap parts too.
i paid $32 for the s2000 button, and $1 for a computer cdaudio to mboard cable that plugged right into the button

Its the s2000 button and it dosen't light up, i know this because its in my s2000 and even in it you still need to turn the key press then clutch and then button to turn it on. Iam going to get one for my stang.
The button I went with lights up when the dash light are on and it I have it wired so that it does dim when you dim the lights, I've got the mycolor dash and hae it set to the same blue and it all goes very well together, I've had people think it's OEM

Fazm, does the button light up? If so is it bright? Does is distract you when you dim the dash lights? Does it dim with them? I like it when things look stock, if the button stays bright red while the rest of the dash is dimmed down real low... I don't think Ill do it. Thanks
