Default Ok, Im getting a mustang.

This is second post reguarding my entry into the world of mustangs.

Ok, I look at the used car market of used mustangs, getting advice on these forums to maybe go down that road.

And I decided against it.

I am vying for an 08' primarily because I don't think I like the direction the 09' model is taking in the new styling.

Lastly the good thing about Korea, (where I am stationed) I am saving about 1k a month. I plan to put big money down on this car. With more than enough left over to put some basic mods.

My goal is to NA this baby as far as it can go with bolt ons before forced induction. I am browsing the forum for more info on the max hp and torque you can get with bolt ons and tune tools. But if anyone can fill me in that would be great.

I will do my best to learn from topics already discussed, I have many questions reguarding SC's and mods. But it looks like repeat questioners dont make alot of friends here.

Sure,
you can add another 30 RWHP easy with bolt ons.
Mine is an 07 4.0 automatic w/pony package.

Mods:
C and L CAI
Diablo Predator 93 octane tune with custom mods to the fuel and timing curves of my own.
Pypes cat back true dual exhaust system with Flowmaster mufflers.
Ford Racing posi-trac' differential w/ stock 3.31 gears.

She blows away older model GT's no sweat!
Have a look at these clips of my baby. She really humps now!
By the way, I really like the 2009/10 body style. Don't know about having an all glass top though.
Might be one of my next toys, that is only if I still can't afford a FORD GT by then ;-)

Are you asking a question?

Why not an 07? when are you coming home. When 08's come out there will be cheap 07's available to buy. In the leftover world..... I got my 05 new in april of 06 for 6500 under sticker fully loaded 23655 down to 17k with 1.9 for 60. Tax and 6 year 75k mile extended warranty all financed in. Deal of the century. Not worth it to pay even a grand under sticker price.

Hi Lec, one additional thing to consider. If you are buying your Stang overseas and having it delivered to the states, the stang will be sold "duty free", but the second you seek a US registration you will have to fork some serious $$ depending were you register it. For example, I know Texas sales tax is 6.25, VA=5% and so on. Just so that you are not caught off guard, like it happened to me when I was stationed in Germany.
