oh those big hunks of rubber are to balance the exhaust, is what some shop told me. there is also one right after the cats. the gts dont need them because is has 2 pipes but they put those on or else the exhaust would turn to the side. thats just what i heard.

 

I think some of the decisions Ford makes on the v6 is driven by the fact that they are giving you more reasons to get the GT instead -- giving them a higher profit margin.
