Long tubes are around $1100 after install/midpipe/headers, but have more hp (15-20 hp?)
Short tubes are around $300-$400 and you can install your self. (5-10 hp).
I have the Mac Shorties, and they have a better sound and a little more hp.

I dont know how many people on here have actually cut off their cats. Obviously people do it and they get HP gains and increased gas milage, or people wouldnt do it. I dont know how much it actually adds though. When I had my exhaust put on the guy that did it told me about a 3.8 mustang that he had worked on and put a similar set up onto whatI have and he said that he cut off"the backset of cats" and he figured it added about 15-20 HP. Now I dont know what "the back set of cats" are exactly, I was always under the impression that there were 2 catalytic converters on a car and that was it, but he told me that there were actually 4 catalytic converters and that you could leave on the front ones and take off the back ones and even though it was illeagal to remove them, you could still pass an emmisions test. Now this is just what he told me. If this information is incorect then I am verysorry it what just what the guy told me thatowned theshop that worked on my car. Ifthis is wrong and somebody knows something that is rightthen please correct me. As far as the HP gains go, Iam sure that he didnt dyno the car so that isnt anything exact or anything like that. I did ask him about other things like CAI and other stuff that I actually knew how much HP they would add and when I had him "guess" how much they would add he was right on so I am guessing that he would be close with the cat thing. Also he did say that the 3.8 without the cats sounded awesome for a V6.
