damquick1, don't try it again. My '05 Ram Quad cab locked on me when I was returning a movie while it was running..The doors automatically lock after so long. The dealer can also make you a key for your vehicle if you give them the registration number but they will make you show proof you own the vehicle unless they know you. People have stolen cars this easy, some dealers don't ask for proof.(they should, some states require this proof. It might be a law)It also don't help to cover number with tape like I use to do.

I had the auto locks turned off with a STARSCAN at the dealer so it won't ever do that...my F150 was infamous for that, and that 's why it's gone.......

I wonder why more owners do not instal the keyless entry option just for this reason?

Just maybe those little buttons were on the keychain inside the vehicle or do you mean the buttons on the outside of the door?

why were your other keys in the car as well?

Do they autos lock when you put it in drive? and unlock in park?

My automatic locks when you put it in drive and go about 10 ft.
This can be disengaged though.

sorry taking a while responding to your posts.....yes the doors will lock with the keys in the ignition with the car NOT running, thats what happened to me....my other keys were in my gym bag in the trunk (my fault but whatever).....and it took the AAA guy so long to open the door cause the locking mechanism is at the very bottom of the door and he had to call in the office to figure out how to get it open, annoying at the time but our cars are definitely almost impossible to steal without breaking a window....

...on a side note its been snowing here in Calgary for a week now I am really getting tired of the rwd even with tc, can't wait for summer!
