Default 07 pony pack spoiler

I may be getting an 07 v6 with the pony pack soon, and I love the upgrades except for the spoiler. If I went and bought just a regular gt spoiler from a take off site, would it bolt up in the same holes as the pony spoiler, or is it a whole lot more trouble to swap them than it's worth?

Thanks

Yes, same holes. The Pony Package spoiler also is mounted with thick double stick tape. You can clearly see where it is when looking between the trunk and spoiler. It might take a little work to get it all off the trunk lid.

New take-off spoilers are available from this web site

I did just that a few days ago ... bought a GT take-off spoiler, took off the V6 pony package duckbill spoiler (removed the 4 nut/washers under the trunklid), and pulled off the spoiler without much effort. It helped being -5*F ... all the tape came off verry easily.

The GT take-off I bought was missing bolts(!!!) so I bought four 6mm stainless steel 18.8 fender washers & four 6mm bolts to attach it to the trunklid. I also needed some Goo Gone & 3M double-sided rubber tape to replace the torn, original tape/sealer on the take-off (The rubber tape should help seal off the bolted parts from water (rust!!)). And for good measure, I sprayed some oil-based anti-corrosion stuff all around the bolt opening to further prevent rust.

I like the v6 spoiler, it is solid as the GT spoiler is flimsy not tight to the trunk lid, also with the climate here i am afraid water will collect there and start to rust as I have seen on othe cars!
