Help on shaker 500 and ipod adapter
Im new to this forum thing, this is my first post; wish it was a happier less frusteratingpost though ahha.
Igot the isimple ipod hook up, that goes in the back of the head unit and you play it through the headunit. Which the "isimple" is the farthest thing from simple.the thing looks like this http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage....=1153337432303 I took the head unit it out, hooked it up and it didnt work then it did.So i put it back together then it didnt work, soI took it all apart again.I did this 4 times and finally it was working great. The ipod would charge, it would play through the ipod i was happy.ThenI go to put the side skirts back on andI loose power to the headunit.I can change the song and use the volume and i can turn the head unit off but there are no green anything no clock no artist nothing. soI took it apart thinking a wires loose andI could not find anything even though theres about 300 wires back there. So thenI undid the car batery hoping it would reset everything but i still have no power. Can anyone help me out? Or does anyone have any idea on if my head unit is shot, or is it the wires?
Its also loads of fun working on it too, because you have to disconnect the heat; so well im doing this yeterday it was 25 degrees out and windy and im freezing my *** off for hours.
Thanks in advanced.

Jesh! Too cold for workin outside. 1st thing I would check foris ablown fuse.
If you don't find anything there, then remove that thing you bought from Best Buy and see if stereo is working correctly.
If it is, then take that thing back to Best Buy and use the MP3 input located in the center console.

I could also be possible that you got a faulty harness from the manufacturer. Maybe the wires are not well connected in the harness plugs, explaining the intermitent problems. I would suggest swapping it for another at best buy or just get your money back.

Personally I use the AUX jack located in the center console for my iPOD and it works great.
