Default TOO MUCH SAND!!

I put 250 LBS in my trunk to get me to work these past few days and i think i magicly turned my car in the a GEO metro.

as i go to remove most of it my question for the board is where is the line between too much weight and good trackion. 250 holds it to the road nice in the ice and snow but seems to really dog the car.

Thoughts?

... well.... if you need to put that much weight in the back of the car to get traction.. you shouldn't be driving it in such a way to notice a performance loss...

But.. I still wouldn't think 250 should drag it down that much.

My preference would be 100-150 with bags over the back tires.

I think 100 or so should be ok.. I forgot to load weight in my car before this snow.. and I did fine getting home through a layer of ice covered by 3 inches. I had no hills.. luckily there is a snow route that leads from work to my house... but I was surprised.
