Default grill filler

Ok here's what im thinking... the V6 grill is 1/4" smaller all around right? correct me if im wrong. So when one decides to upgrade to a GT front fascia, said person cant use the existing V6 grill cause there will be a significant gap. I understand how this won't really effect a billet grill, but i've seen numerous people, me included, that want to keep the smaller pony package fog's with the GT grill. What if someone was to creat a filler of sorts... made of the same black material to fill in the 1/4" gap. If done right, it could glue or just be bolted on to the back of the pony package grill and look normal... Is there something like this out there? Would it work? I've done numerous things like this on my pickup, but with my stang i am extremely picky...

I agree, the V6 grill does look good with the GT fascia, very clean. I disagree with the Pony package statement, but everyone is allowed one bad choice...[&:]

Sounds like you're gonna have to get creative and figure out how to fill the gap yourself.
I'd like to see what it looks like when your finished.
Gee, if the GT came with the pony package look, they'd probably sell a lot more GT's ;-) But then it wouldn't be a GT anymore would it....But it would be a pretty cool combination IMO.
Some day after the warranty expires I am going to swap out my 4.0 for a BOSS 302! Maybe a blown BOSS 302 to boot! Giddyup Yeah!
Good luck!

I agree I am not a fan of the pony package grill either. To me it looks like a mini-version of the GT grill and I dont want my car looking mini at all compared to the GT. I am going to get the black chrome grill with the pony. I think that is what sets the 6's apart from the GT's, they look like sleepers and yet they arent.

I would like to take the pony off the stock V6 grill and totally replace the black honeycomb material with a full sheet of that black honeycomb without the stock cutout for the pony. Anyone know where to find that material in a sheet?
