Thanks guys, no dyno # yet but soon I hope. The kit is made by Explorer Express and is a very easy install; here is a link to their info on the Mustang V6 kit.

how easy is easy? lol

The installation on mine took around 7 hours. There's no drilling required. If you can loosen and tighten bolts, then you're good to go.

let's take a look at the numbers that a californiax-charger equiped car will make (rwhp).

there's a few guys here that have that model, and they're getting in the neighborhood of 250-270 rwhp.

that horsepower figure is the neighborhood figure for the GT.

now, if, and this is a big if, explorer express had a GT vs. a CA x-charger on the 1/4 mile, and the guy driving the V6 is able to drag race pretty regularly and the guy driving the GT doesn't have that much experience, then there is truth in advertising.

now, i wasn't there. there's a whole bunch of other variables that could make the company's statement true or false, but you've got to look at it like this: since there's about 20 or so guys running around with these things on there cars right now. more are popping up out of the woodwork every other day. why would explorer express make a claim that would be unfounded the minute someone went to the track, therefore screwing up their potential to sell more of their products?

the minute afixer posted that his car was the R&D car for the x-charger last year, and the driveshaft broke, everyone on the 4.0 forums were ready to go deep into debt just to have that on their cars.

Yep, the longest part of the install was removing all the factory electrical tape just to get to the wires needed to extend. Like Dave @ EE said Ford must get a heck of a deal on electrical tape.

This supercharger comes in 2 different models the CA version and the Hi-po version.
The Hi-po version makes more HP.

how much more does the Hi-Po make then the CA. And when ur done installing it do you need to tune it and custom tune it or what? Cause I see you can buy it with or without the tuner.
