Default RE: Test Drive

I bought mine last March 2006 for 20k on a 2006 Stampede Edition with all the GT goodies and racing stripes except the V8 engine.

I spent some upgrades on C&L CAI and tune from AA, true dual exhaust with GT take offs, rear lip valance ( not recommended - will replace it with the whole bumper kit ), JBA cat4wards shorty headers, Hot Inazma hypervoltage system

Currently on order: Steeda Sport Lowering springs, adjustable panhard bar and brace, Cobalt ignition cables, Ford Racing T-loc, 4.10's.

Future mods: Bullitt 18" deep dish chrome wheels and turbo

i got a fully loaded pony package 06 for under 20k....of course i have the T5, so that is 1k less than the auto and i am on the ford family plan.... but you should still be able to get everything fully loaded for 22k or under if you can haggle.

I got my 07 pony package, leather, shaker 500, power seats, abs + tcs, IUP, auto for 22.3 out the door including tax, license + reg fees. Just gotta talk to em.. if they don't give you your price walk out.. they'll come after you. I was quoted high 19's for a base 6.. get the PP.. it's worth it.

Well I was set on the PP at first, but its a throw up between just getting a Premium with GT 17" rims, racing stripes, etc. I got a chance to check out a PP equipped Mustang yesterday, and although it does look damn nice, I wasnt impressed with the rear spoiler, nor the side tape. The one I drove, if I coulda drove home with it then, I would have. It had everything I wanted, except the damn satellite radio, which I would never use cause I burn my own CD's. Other than that, it had everything. It was Vista Blue with Racing Stripes, GT 17" Polished Rims, it looked like it had the interior upgrade, and leather seats. Damn, it will haunt my dreams until I can get it, lol.

You should wait until summer and pick up a 2007 when the 2008's are on the lot...... The MSRP on mine was a little under $21,000. Its a 2006 V6 Premium 5 speed with the shaker system, not much else. I bought it in August of 2006 so all the 2007's were on the lot, and they were dealing on all of the left over 2006's they had left. Like I said the sticker was a lil under $21,000, they had it advertised for $17,999. They gave me a $500 recent college grad rebate on top of that. It ended up being under $19,000 out the door with all taxes and everything included, and oh yea.... a 5 year 60,000 powertrain warranty. Cant beat that!
