Default any one with 20 inch rims??

hey guys i just have aquick question. i have 18 by9 deep dish bullets on my v6, but i wanted tochange to a set of 20 inch rims but i was wondering if i needed to replace anything or would i have any problems with 20's on a stock v6.

i was just wondering cause my friend put 19's on his 5 series bmw and his brakes are all messed up. whenever he brakes the whole car starts shaking its kinda wierd, he said he needed bigger brakes or something but i dont remember.

thanks guys i really appreciate it.

don't do it...they are crazi expensive...your car will be slow....your ride will suck...you WILL have constant alignment problems...and they are quickly falling out of style...leave it for the concept cars and music videos...

when you say "your ride will suck" do you mean the quality of driving on the road would be terrible? and why would the alignment keep messing up after it gets fixed?

I have 20's and the car rides just as good as it did with the stock. I think it actually drives a little better but that would be becuase the tires are much better than the stock tires.

The one issue with 20 inch wheels is that without larger brakes, there is a lot of air space showing through the wheels giving them a bicycle tire appearance. I have 20 inch wheels installed on my car but they are required to clear the 14 inch Baer brakes that are being installed.

I have 20" wheels on mine... and my car doesnt suck [:-]and neither does the quality of the ride.... just about the same as stock.. you may feel alittle more of the bumps just because of the Low profile tires but as for quality of ride no change... My car actually handles better with the 20's on because i have a 275/35/20 rear tire so its nice and wide.... all in all I love the 20's on my mustang and get complements on them wherever I go.

I too have 20's and my ride quality doesn't "suck". (Far from it actually...)
The wider tire handles sooo well. Braking is just fine for me too.
It also depends on what rim you look at if you're worried about looking like the "bicycle tire"
The only thing that I would recommend doing is in the future, get a tuner to update your speedo.. (I was shocked at the speedo difference after recalibrating the ECU)

If you get tires that are 27 inches tall (or close to it) then your speedometer will not be affected.
