what tools will i need and how can i do it myself without having to go to a dealership? any help would be appreciated!

socket wrench......dont waste your money at the dealership... as for sockets i think its a #13 and a #15..... and i didnt have to jack up the car...but it would be easier if you had stands...

any other info you could tell me? i tried searching for a walk-through somewhere but couldn't find it. i'm pretty illiterate when it comes to things like this. sad, i know.

The best thing to do is crawl under and look. There's one bolt in the clamp and 3 hangers. I didn't jack my car up either. Took about 30 minutes.

It's easy, I've never done anything car related like that. Unbolt, pop off. It's a nice difference. Especially the sound.

anybody got any pics of their gt take-off exhaust? i'm curious as to what it looks like.

Alot like the one you have now only lighter and it doesn't have the crazy damper thing on it.

Changing out the stock exhaust for a GT take off its an easy task, just have to undo 1 bolt clamping the muffler onto the exhaust pipe, then pull the hangers out of the rubber holders pop it off good to go, as others have said this can be done with out a jack there shoudl be enough room fo ryou to comfortable reach everything and manuver the new exhaust into place.
