Default My Mustang vs. My neighbors brick garage-- ouch

My car was parked in my parents driveway all night....I hear a crash early in the morning....... my car rolled down my parents driveway.. across the street... and crashed into the neighbors brick garage-- and DEMOLISHED the corner of it, his garage door wont open, bricks laying everywhere......... my car has 2 small scratches on the plastic bumper, no cracks in the bumper cover, no dent........ amazing. Thinking about sending in pics of my car and a pic of the brick garage wall-- maybe they can make a "built Ford tough" commercial.. haha... thanks goodness for auto insurance though---- and oh yea.. I didnt have it in gear, but the e-brake was on, it must have gave out???
Not a steep driveway at all

I ALWAYS leave it in 1stgear when parked. I wouldn't trust the ebrake for the exact reason what happened to you.

When I owned an '82 GT, that owner's manual recommended parking it in Reverse.
Whatever you do, when you park it, make sure it is in gear.

got rear ended in a tunnel here today by a guy doin about 25 into me stopped, all i got was a cracked bumper cover, which i put on myself ne way. Very impressed with the toughness of this car so far as its the second time ive been rear-ended.

Thats crazy.Your lucky you only got two scratches on your car when all those bricks could of wrecked yourhood. Although its good the garage stopped the car rather then another car or person.

ok so how bout the not so toughness of this car? I was sitting in my mechanic's driveway waiting to pull in, and a guy in a brand new Toyota pickup, dont know the model but it was one of the smaller ones, he decided he would reverse into me and T-Bone me. But he wasnt going any faster than 10mph, if that, and he cause about $3500 worth of damage! OUCH!

yea that happened the first ******* time i got my stang....luckily i caught it before it got too much momentum...the e-brakes on these things suck until you get em replaced...after I got mine replaced everything was clear sailing...except for the crappy Impala they rented me...
