safe psi is higher than 6 if you ahve the intercooler. Im running 10psi but some are running 12 and 14 psi no problems. On a procharger though it makes more hp most of the time than the other s/cs so you can run at less boost and make more power.

im running 9psi, i feel its quite safe, and im at the 371rwhp number (about 430flywheel)

if you want your engine to last more than 100k miles though id never go over 8/9psi

1. depends on the tune/specific setup, but if you are using it as a daily driver, might as well stay under 10 just for safety.
2. yes.
3. at the wheels or the crank? really...yes to both.
4. I have heard tons of bad things about procharger recently, but the paxton is basically the vortech with a slightly different head unit, so i would say the paxton is reliable.

i dont see why, it is them that have complained about reliability with it. It's a fine way to go if you know what you are doing and can take some downtime if something is wrong because it has better flow characteristics than the vortech, but i have not heard one bad thing about the vortech reliability wise, but like 3-4 guys with prochargers have had reliability issues.

The Vortech HO kit (intercooled) is rated at 10 PSI. This is using a 3.25" pulley. I swapped out my 3.25 for a 2.87 and now make about 12 PSI...
