alright guys i bit the bullet and purchased the mrt axel back from mrt-direct...... after contacting my ford dealership they wanted to charge me 319 for a ford racing exhaust...so i kinda passed on it... also i just think the mrt sounds better...

ill let you know how it went and post some video when i get a chance... and i must say that exhaust sound clip thread is AWESOME!!!!! really helps when deciding to purchase an exhaust.

There is definitely drone with the MRT. I loved the sound, but after a few months I couldn't take it anymore and got the Steeda. To each his own, you'll love the sound no doubt and if you can live with the drone then fine, but don't be mislead there is drone.

 

Just installed mine this weekend. It is loud as h*ll on the inside but I am obnoxious and the louder the better. I really love it. We did have to get one of the hangers repositioned to fit better and also had the tip shaved down some b/c it just stuck too far out from the bumper for my taste. It looked like a hemorroid sticking out. But since it was installed...I have not had one ricer (or anyone else for that matter) try to mess with me on the road. It sounds B*D *SS!

I really enjoy my MRT exhaust. It will break in some after putting some miles on it and the tone of the muffler will deepen some. It is definitely one of the louder mufflers, but its sporty sounding. Not ricey or anything. It drones a little some around the 3k rpm range, but really isnt bad. I drive the highway often and it doesnt bother me. I just turn the stereo on and cruise. Good choice...hope you enjoy it!

 

I wish I could hear one in person... i've been debating getting one since I bought the car. Right now I have a GT-Take off... and most of the other mufflers for $200 + don't sound that much better than the GT muffler.. at least based on sound clips off the internet...

i have it on mine, and i have pics in my stang's website, i really like it, it was alittle hard to get to stop bangin so i paid ford $65 and it was fixed
