Default help with HID!!!

ok I put some hids on my 05 and at first they were giving my trouble the would just start shutting of on me one at a time. I had them replaced and the same thing happened again. The guy at my shop tells me that I need a capacitior , cuz the alt is not putting out enough powe, but he does know what kind . The funny part is that when I started looking for one it stop. And now it only does it every once and a while. Does any one know which kind I would need?

Default RE: help with HID!!!

i got mine from stangmods.net a site sponser... also i got the bi xenon kit w/ both hi and low beam functions... i would get light flickerings as well as the 1 light shutting off... to remedy the problem stang mods sent me an upgraded relay free of charge and their customer service was the best ive ever delt w/ ... w/ emails being sent back and forth as late as 11pm at night....

more than likely u need an upgraded relay... fixed my problem and they work great now.

hi i have em and you need 2 heat ressistors.u buy them at radioshack. The newer models think the headlights are out so the like start 2 give "shots" power them up so they flicker...the resistors eliminate this.

Considering the HID's consume 35 watts, in comparison to 55 watt halogens, you don't need a capacitor.
