i was wondering where to get a good after market driveshaft, and is it true that the driveshafts on our car tend to "explode" after 115 mph? i heard hat mid 06 the fixed that problem, is it true or what?

 

go to www.powerhouse411.com they got the drive shaft ur looking for. and as far as exploding... still new on tht one. but ask afixer, he ripped his when he put his x-charger on.

 

Later model V6's have solved this problem but the powerhouse is still a great bolt-on.

 

Tom (afixer) blew his on a dyno at I think 130mph, which is 15mph above the rated max mph for the stock shaft. My guess is it blew off due to vibration.

Speaking of driveshafts, today installed a 3 1/2" aluminum DS, I was spectacle of all the talk of moving less weight and mass, but the results were pretty incredible.........with 5 speed running through the gears, quicker acceleration and smoother all the way around............nice MOD, really recommend ataluminum DS..........I went with driveshaftshop.com........3 1/2".......I had a original DS which comes on the 05 without the clips.................scrap metal in comparison!!!
