Changing Headlight Bulbs??
Ok now maybe this is a stupid question, but I have never changed the bulbs, but when I changed my headlights I had to remove the bumper partially on each side. Is there an easier way to change the bulbs? Does anyone know?
yes there is an ez way to do it. the bulbs are accessed right under the hood. yea man its lik a 5 minute job. the hardest part i found was unscrewing the bulb assembly, cuz the one on the pasangers side is in a lil bit of a tight spot. but u dont need no tools.

Replaced mine with Silverstars last week.
The thing to remember is to leave the old bulb in and remove the wiring plug first!
You need to squeeze the little prong on the plug and using a LARGE flatbladed screwdriver (small won't work) TWIST GENTLY and the plug will separate from the bulb.
A small screwdriver doesn't apply an even force and will twist the plug improperly.
Mine came off with a slight "snap" as they had been on for 40,000 miles and they were sticky & sandy. Newer cars should be easier.
Makesure to go back and peel off the old rubber gasket where the old bulb was.
Mine were RED. The gaskets fit INSIDE the little ring around the bulb. The new ones are gray.
I have some photos I'll post when I get home tonight.
Don't touch the bulb with your fingers as the oils on them can cause the bulb to break when it is powered up!

Silverstars? I was looking for silverstars but my local Kragen said they didn't make it for the mustang. What bulbs are you using?

Not much room to maneuver.
Make sure to take the gasket off the housing before installing the new bulbs.
They go in 1/4 turn clockwise (looking from the back).
