Default GT takeoff spoiler drilling template

I just purchased a GT takeoff spoiler for my V6 and was wondering if anyone has a template or "coordinates" for drilling the four holes in the rear trunk? I know on the underside of the trunk there's a rectangular slot in the metal on each side where the bolts will go but I have no idea exactly where to drill in the slots. I may just go to the Ford dealer and have them drill the holes but if there's an easy trick to doing this I'd love to hear it. Thanks everyone.

Here's the trick. Measure, measure, measure, cut! Make sure that you measure your holes exactly the same on both sides. Put some masking tape on your trunklid where the holes are going to go. This makes the marking and drilling easier. Be sure and use some 2 sided tape when you attach your spoiler. Then it should be just like the factory did it!

Well, there is a more exact way to decide where to put the holes. Look on the lining of the trunk lid, you'll see 2 oblong holes on both sides. Find those spots on the top, measure 3 times, tape it up with masking tape and drill away.

Hey, sorry to be such a pain but does anyone with a factory spoiler installed have close up pics of the underside of their trunk lid they can post so I can see the general bolt location for each side? I called the Ford dealer today and they want to charge $130 to drill the 4 holes and install the spoiler. I'm leaning towards that route to be on the safe side. Thanks.

Hope this helps. That seems like a lot of money for 4 holes......

Thanks mlcrycc, the pic really helps! I agree, $130 is pretty steep. One follow up question, are the top and bottom bolts both the same distance from the sides of the oval cutout or does one of them sit closer to theedge than the other...(if that makes sense). I couldn't be sure based on the angle in the picture. Thanks!

Honestly? You can put it anywhere you want in those ovals, just make sure the opposite side matches.. That is, as far as forward and backward placment, keep them in the center of the oval for side to side placment

Better yet, post a message up here that you would be willing to trade trunk lids with someone who has the spoiler. I'm sure you'll get a bunch of people jumping at the option. There are a lot of guys that have the spoiler and wish they had the opportunity to get a trunk with the spoiler delete.
