I don't know anything about the headers, but I read on here a few days ago something about a loose steering wheel or steering column.

You've complained about the headers making noise before, did you take the suggestions given an tighten them down again? If not, DO IT. That noise might be the headers as well.. Did you just start hearing it? Was it happening before you installed the headers? Is it a constant noise?

Gotta give more details..

Since you have an 05 it sounds like the "popping" noise referred to from an early TSB. It's coming from the coil spring catching when turning the streeting wheel. They have this coil spring isolator(plastic, rubber etc. tube that slides onto the lower front coil spring) Ford part #8484 you'll have to get the rest of part # at the dealer. This could be your trouble or something else. Pull a wheel and check it out. Or maybe the isolator slid up causing the noise again. Maybe the TSB is still in effect and get it fixed for free.

Could it be the headers hitting the frame? Some have suggested stiffer motor mounts when doing headers
