Holy crap.. Thats it! Just what I wanted... I went for another test drive while it was cold.. the damn $60 resonator from car X did it! Still get that low rumble (although more subdued) at idle.. almost no drone... and still screams at WOT.. but no crackling..no raspiness.. just mean...

If I was 16.. I would have loved the MAC by itself.. but i really didn't want to make my wife go into labor early with all the low frequency crap before... This is a great compromise.

The problem I have is I don't know what brand resonator the dude at carX installed... and I noticed condensation leaking from the weld when I let it idle for a while [:@]

Thanks to the guy here that did this before.. forgot who it was.. but after searching, there was a guy with either single or dual set-up that had Kooks resonators (racing mufflers) installed.. and he said it took care of a lot of the drone.. You were right!

I wonder if this would be a good combo for the folks that like MRT... the addition of a low flow resonator would give it a deeper tone.. and reduce drone..
