Got my car back from Powerhouse..
Well, I finally got her back. After 6 looooonnnnnggg months. Stella is resting safely in my garage. Let me just say the car is a f’ing monster now. I mean, she is just insane. It’s a totally different car now, and I have to learn how to drive her all over again.
The guys did a great job, and they went above and beyond on this one. They did a bang up job with their attention to detail on her. I have their built block in the car, their heads and turbo cams (along with a **** load of supporting mods). She sounds wicked when you start her up. Drivability is 100% on this car, it drives perfect. Mike did an amazing job on the tune, its amazing that it’s a cammed car and so streetable. Chris and Dave did a great job taking her apart and putting her back together…..several times. And Steve did a great job helping me with the total package and what see will be, the engine build and getting the specifications lined up with how the car make power.
I did have a chance to run her at Thompson for a couple of runs before I came home. I’m really struggling with my 60ft and with all the new power, I can’t launch at 3K rpm. So I have to learn how to drive the car all over again. And like we did with the 8lb setup, we are already tweaking the auto tune for the ¼ to develop a race shift setup. With all this power, the old race auto setup needs some tweaking. Even with 60fts in the 2.x’s, the car is running 12.3’s at the lowest boost settings on pump gas (13lbs). At 13lbs with a conservative tune, she is making more power than a stock GT500. It’s also setup for 20lbs via the boost controller. All the tunes had to be de-tuned down per my request, as I’m concerned about imploding the tranny. At 20lbs, I’m confident that the transmission will break, so I asked Mike to take power out of all of the tunes, so there is a lot on the table. As Powerhouse would say “she’s pissed”
She needs a bath, but here are some pics to get started. I got some new appearance goodies (tinted windows, interior goodies, etc.) and will get some better pics and a vid later.
And at Thompson…
My goals for this season is 11's at 13psi, and 10's at 20psi once a transmission option is available.

more power than a stock GT500 eh? I don't doubt that, especially since it's you, lol. That is one hell of a car rygen. I really like how you cleaned up the front, looks much nastier, IMO, now then it did with the other grille. Great job, drive safe, and try not to get caught! haha

Wow! I wish I could throw money into my car like that! Your car is definitely the leader of the pack. One of the magazines really need to get that thing on their covers.. a 4.0 that outpowers a GT500--now that's something ANY Mustang lover would want to read about.
That's a very aggressive chin spoiler. Is that a GT front?

Thanks all. My center fog light grille was sold the day after I bought this one, sorry. The mod junkies are everywhere. LOL. Yes, its a GT front bumper so it could take the CDC aggressive chin. Really appreciate the props. No roll cage till there is an race auto option. For now, I'll try to sneak up to 11.50 and avoid the cage.
