I washed the motor of my 2005 v6 mustang now i'm having a hard time getting it started. I had the battery checked and cleaned the terminals. Still having the same problem. Sometimes it just clicks, or trys to start, and other times its like nothing is wrong. any ideas?? Please HELP!!!

 

Now I dont know much, but do you have an exposed air filter? If you do did you cover it up? Because if water somehow got on it you could have a problem there. Because if air can't get in, the car obviously wont start and run. Just an idea, and btw I hope i am not saying something that is too obvious. Good luck

 

did you power wash it or something? You may have loosened a plug wire or something, make sure everything is tight.

 

Can you wash our motors with out covering anything up>? is that safe? what about some of the electronics?

 

you have to cover the distributer and the intake filter if it is open,i usually just use a couple of good walmart bags with no holes

 

i wash mine all the time . check all you ground connections
