Default Finally gave in

Went to the dealer after some hard thinking today, to look at a fully loaded (red leather, shaker 1000) 05 GT and they wanted my 06 V6+7k for it (sticker price on it was like 25,650).... but then they said they had a 2007 california special mustang GT, brand new with 3 miles on it down at another dealer for the same price. I got the x plan with that and a couple rebates and it came down to 25,854$and they gave me 19,000 for my car. So today gentlemen I upgraded for 6,854$ from an 06 V6 with 12k miles to an 07 cali special GT with 3 miles on it!

Sorry to leave you guys, I will definitely be sticking around here though. I pick the car up thursday the 25th....

2007 california special Mustang GT
Black on black interior, manual tranny, interior upgrade package, etc etc

Just wanted to bid farewell guys thanks!

The average rain drop falls at 7 mph, squirells can climb trees faster than they can run on ground, and your car goes real fast now.

Congratulations!! The CS/GT is one fine car!!

There are alot of posts here lately of V6ers trading in for GT's. It's tempting to stop in the dealer and see how the numbers would work out.

Post some pics of your new black on black beauty!

+1 on that Icon ... although I think the hardest part, even if the numbers worked, would be letting go of a car that I've put so much into.

paid 23 ish for my 06 V6 new, so 19k counts as negative equity I'd assume, but not much.

19k would be a crap load of negative equity.

negative equity is what you owe on a car when you try to trade it in. for example,i buy a 05mustang gt for $25k.... paid everythingovertime except for $5k of it. that $5k is the negative equity. that negative equity could be tacked ontoa new mustang gt that i'm purchasing ori could pay off all or some ofthat negative equityright then and there, with a down payment.

for example, 6k down payment. 5k for the negative equity, 1k will go to the new car. so then the price of the car will go down to $24k.

the way your story flowed sounded like you paid off your 2006 stang in one year. (you must be loaded to pay off your car in one year, lol)and they gave you 19k for it. so you only have to pay for the 6k for the new stang gt. grats on your new car. enjoy her.
