Default MODS- AGAIN!

aight, i've decided i'm going with the MRT exhaust and i want to get the C&L CAI and tune. i've read on sites that when you're buying a CAI and tune to tell the company what other mods you have to customize the tune, so i was wondering should i get the exhaust first then get the CAI and tune? or does it matter?

ive never heard that before, but i havnt researched the c and l so i could be wrong. i think the tune comes in one tune just cuz the intake is larger then the stock one. otherwise your air to fuel ratio would be off. but i dont think the exaust would affect that. but i could be wrong so i would check with c and l

yes it's true....I mean i'm pretty sure an axleback is not that big of a deal. They're talking like tell them if you're supercharged/turbod/juiced. I would get the MRT first though...that's just me. I allready have it haha and I love it. Definitely noticable difference over stock for sure

you need to tell them tire size, gears, computer code. The muffler does not matter. I hope you don't mind a drone at about 2200 RPM's it drove me nuts not t mention that the MRT makes your car sound ricey not deep.

The reason they ask you this is to get as much info about the car as possible. They may tweak it for a better flowing exhaust, im not sure, but it would make sense. Have any of you actually compared the stock 6er muffler to the mrt? the mrt is straight through, the stock v6 muffler is basically a maze. It is VERY restrictive. You can always tell them you have the mrt already and put that tune on with the c&l. it wont hurt any, and if they actually do tweak the tune for the better flowing exhaust, you will just see better gains when you DO get the exhaust. Just talk to whoever you are buying the tune from.

i'm going to ask you this since i know oyu have an MRT, how easy is the install? do i need to weld anything? i've got basic do it your self home tools around the house, and i've never done anything like this, so do you think its something i could do or better to spend 100 bucks to do it?
