Default contemplating '07 pony vs '06 non pony

Hi there - I'm in the midst of trying to get a Mustang.. coming from a Saturn Ion quad coupe, it'd be quite the upgrade for me.

I've been approvedat Ford's2.9% for an 07 with pony package but saw there is a 06 non pony package I could get as well.

I've test driven the 07 pony and never drove the non-pony - is there much of a handling difference? What can I expect if I test drive the used non-pony package?

Any input would be greatly appreciated - financial, technical, etc

In Canadian funds, the '06 non pony I believe is 22,900 and '07 pony package automatic is 27,999.

Also, since '06 being used might/will be higher interest while the '07 is guaranteed 2.9%

and the kilometers on the used pony is 22k

I have a 07 Pony... the interior look is slightly different from the 06's (non-ponies) that I saw inside of. The rims are nicer, seem wider and the tires it came with were definately different from the non-pony. The suspension from the 06 was also tighter on the 07 pony with premium package. They said it had the GT suspension is what I was told (also saw it on the window info before I bought mine). Front grill is different etc (i'm pretty sure you know).

That is what I noticed with looking at the 07 pony package vs the 06 NON-pony package.

Hope this helped a little

my 07 non pony with the premium pkg came with both front & rear sways... they were junk so I replaced them with larger ones and polyurethane bushings...rides like a champ...even better than the GT I drove...wish I could remember the name brand though.....If I can find out I'll post it

basically, it comes down to what exerior mods you're going to do to your car.

if you dont plan on doing any, get the pony. if you do, get the non. it'd be a waste to spend extra few grand for looks and then change everything. have you considered an 06 pony?
