Default Window Problem

Alright,

My battery died in my 2005 mustang. Something that is kinda crappy is that when the battery is dead you can't put the car in neutral. Thats one problemI have had. The big problem is that after charging my battery, now my auto roll-up feature on my window doesn't work on the driver side. When i get out it lowers, but after closing the door it won't go back up. Anyone have the fix for this, or amI needing a trip to the dealer?

That happened to me as well. The issue went away after about 1 and half days. It sucked cause it would auto down, but not auto up. Everything went back to normal though.

To fix this problem, just start the car and hold up on the window toggle for about 2~3 seconds (with the window closed), should take care of it.

Peace!

You can put an auto in neutral when the battery is dead. It is in the manual too. (hint: lift up the little plate on the right side of the shifter housing)
Some older electronic transmissions do not have this feature, but ours do.

Yes, some automatics in newer cars have this feature. Unfortunately, I've known some who can't even can't the thing open because you have to use a key. But that's why it's good to have a manual trani
