Heads, 3 angle valve job, bore, stroke, high compression pistons, pretty much everything and you should be able to hit over that especially with a 4.5L bore kit with all that and high compresion pistons...those will do you the most. But hell for that price, mineaswell just get a turbo kit from PH

like jersey said, internals will do the trick, but still 250 rwhp is gonna betough to attain N/A.port/polish jobs, more aggressive cams, etc. you should also consider non-power adder performance items like driveshaft, gears, LSD. you'll pretty much end up getting every bolt-on thats not F/I, might as well invest in F/I

am i the only one that's not gonna say go turbo?
If you're interested, U/D pulley, heads, cams, bore + stroke, lt headers, lightweight + high compression pistons and internals, feather the crank, etc etc etc.. you'd be pretty far past that 250hp mark

Right now we really don't know for sure what heads/cams are gonna do for us. NOBODY has an n/a car with heads and cams right now, so who knows, it could be possible to get close to there without working on your rotating assembly at all.

true... but couldn't hurt

head work and cams would help on down the road, i'm sure... and if you do the intake and the exhaust, logic tells you that the heads could probably use a port too, since it basically becomes a restriction

i agree, and also know that you can't really go wrong if you are looking for big power by going heads first. You will just end up making more power, more easily if you open up the heads a bit and do some valvetrain work no matter which way you go later on. I would make a full plan before you do anything with cams though because depending on what you do, a general performance cam may be a bad idea (say you want to run quite a bit of boost later down the road, a more specific cam would benefit you better).

true... but you could always get a set of blanks for later
i agree about the cams.. i wouldn't want race cams in my car, just cause, you know, i would never pass inspection
a slightly more agressive cam would do wonders, with head work

the point i'm tryin to make is you might as well port out the heads, because no matter what, it'll provide a gain, and if you go FI/n20/etc it'll amplify those gains later

i agree. blanks aren't available yet though, just so you know if you are looking later on or something.
