my 07 pp has no abs. i prefer it that way anyhow. i dont drive in snow...

We don't get much snow here.....maybe an inch a year, so abs is not a big deal to me.

What? did I miss something? Tell me...since when is ABS only meant for snow? ABS helps you to stop in any situation...

I think you mean TCS - Traction Control System Which comes in handy for snow and rain

ABS probably isn't needed or used as much on dry pavement, but it's saved my butt in just about every kind of driving. I looked at a Black 05 that I absolutely had to have until I found out it didn't have ABS. That was a deal breaker, as far as I was concerned. TCS doesn't do anything for me. Unfortunately, Ford isn't offering ABS without TCS for the s197's, soI got both.

Some people get all weirded out about having the brake pedal vibrate when ABS kicks in, but I think they miss the message - if the brake pedal is vibrating, the ABS is working the way it should.

I almost bought a Redfire vert instead of my Mineral Grey (which I love), and the reason I passed on it was that it didn't have ABS. It should be standard equipment IMO.

a skilled driver can stop better without ABS, so for the general public, its a good thing. i've grown up offroading everything, so if it has abs, it gets disconnected, i guess i feel the same about my street cars.

now if i lived in a colder climate, i would definately have abs on my DD.

I have a black 07 pony, no TCS, no ABS. . .just what I wanted. Got the price I wanted too ~ I love it. I even live in snow country ~ Massachusetts. I learned to drive in this junk on my first car (75 Maverick) . . .I hate ABS

the 06 PP was really a better deal overall if you add everything up, at least it was...dono if that was because i got a discount or something. If you guys think abs is only for cold weather, i doubt you know how abs works or why it is used. Hardcore performance driving in some situations it is better to not have it, and i can understand preferring to not have traction control because i turn mine off all the time anyway (it is not a very advanced TCS) but on a daily driven car, you are much better off with abs.

+1 the key being skilled
Dont put yourself in a situation that requires ABS.
Drive alert and defensivly.
