you guys are %100 correct. Hey tough love right, we all need it every now and then.

to answer some questions and then tell my decision.... here it is.

1) I did not test drive the GT but drove in one.
2)I was in the process of buying the GT but when the dealer sold the last one of the color, options, and right price (keep in mind AFTER I told him I wanted that one) I was pissed off, this was also after they put all the paperwork through for my insurance and ran a credit check. So after since no auto GT's were left I looked at the V6's and liked one of them alot, and bought it.
3) In my line of work you cannot be thin skinned. but after family members start breaking your ***** about it being a six banger, you want to hang yourself.

now heres my decision.

keeping the V6 and putting on.

-Longtube headers (maybe that will help the sound)
-GT front bumper w/ CDC Classic chin spoiler
-GT rocker panels
-GT500 rear bumper
-Vortech S/C (in septemeber)

as far as aftermarket products, alot of the performance parts for GT's do not come for the V6 models.

All the power to ya.

Hell, If I could afford one I would do it.

I don't need any reasons to rationalize wanting a GT other than the fact that I want one.
At any rate, I love my 6. Doesn't matter what size the engine is - ITS STILL A MUSTANG!!!

Don't forget how awesome your car is.

yeah i feel the same way, if i could have afforded one then i would have gotten a GT instead of a v6, i still love my mustang to death though

longtubes wont help the sound.....itll only get raspier up top....

honestly dude, if u can swing it financially, go for the gt. i dont remember signing a contract saying i can never upgrade to a gt lol, so i dont really agree with people giving u flack for wanting more.

i thought LT's gave it a deeper sound?

I would hate to see the mustang go to be honest.

i was looking at v6's because all the gt's were on backorder. but when i to to a dealership to look at a v6 they had. i saw a gt that had just been returned with 15 miles on it becuase the person that purchased it couldnt drive manual so they returned it i also got a really good deal because it was marked USED. i was so happy i didnt have to get a v6

If you really regret not getting a GT, then I would trade the car in for one.
As far as aftermarket products for the 4.0, the link below is all you need for your pony.

http://www.powerhouse411.com/

After that, you can get a nice array of suspension parts from CHE

everyone will hate on your car no matter what you have and the 4.6L isn't that much of a jump from a 4.0L... now you can just get crap from all of the LS1s, corvettes, etc. I'm very happy with my v6 especially once i get the turbo

Have to agree at first I was thinking I should have waited but not anymore. I am very Happy with my 6. There is only one GT I would trade her in for and that would be a Bullitt
