Default Bama 93 Race tune vs 93 Torq tune

I got 'em both but was wondering what is the better tune for commuting-i.e. lots of shifting with the 5 speed. Seems like I get better mileage with the torque tune and for off line perf -LAUNCHING and 0-60 time -is there a noticable difference or is the race tune designed more for top end speeds?[/align]

your tune shouldnt really affect daily driving. most only take effect at WOT, and the PCM monitors AF any other time and corrects itself.

the reason being, that under WOT, conditions change too fast for the PCM to adapt, so it must follow pre-mapped settings. If u get better mileage with one than the other, that means ur foot is a little happier on the other . Keep that one, and tame that foot until ur racing

I went with the race tune from B A M A and was happy as hell with it. Talk to Doug and let him know your driving habits and what not, he'll let you know which way to go.

my dad's new comment about getting tunes is that I may blow out my ecu.....WHAT!?!?

...hes really irrational with this. I've been trying for an intake/tune since I got the car. I work and have the money saved up to buy one but I dont know what to do. Can anyone give me some things I can tell my dad to encourage him to let me?

Tell him it improves driver control over the vehicle be removing throttle lag, therefore reducing throttle overcompensation by the driver, thus reducing the chance of applying to much throttle in a tight situation. Also tell him it will stop bottle-fed civic driver from laughing at you j/k lol.
