I've gotten nothing but compliments on my car so far. I was standing in line at the local quickie mart when the gentlemanbehind me turned and said "that's a good looking Mustang parked out there....probably belongs to some kid" (I'm 52). I just nodded and said "yeah, probably'. He continued, saying "yep, some kid is gonna get in a lot of trouble in that car". I said "you could be right'...walked out, got in and waved asI drove away....with a big grin on my face.

I DID have a wise-*** co-worker ask what size my V-8 is....I told him just a touch larger than the one in his Accord. He didn't have much to say after that.

On a different note....while I was waiting for my car to be cleaned up before taking it home, anolder guy came into the showroom and proceeded to inspect a GT500 on the showroom floor. We started talking and he told me he was retired and his birthday was coming up in about a week. The dealership was asking 25k over sticker for the car. He offered the sales manager 10k over the sticker, dickered for a few minutes then agreed to split the difference. He wrote a check for 15k over sticker on the spot! I just stood there with my mouth hanging open. The really cool thing was the guy was wearing a 'Carroll Shelby" style hat.

Great responses. I am another mid-fifties guy; I learned to drive in a 68 MUSTANG (wish I still had that one). Good story,
